The surliness lives on: the Harry Potter version!

I was installing some signs at one of the local clinics when I spied a gentleman working his way through the most recent Harry Potter book. I noticed that he was almost finished, so I went over and asked him, "Have you gotten to the part where he (Harry) bites off the head of the snake yet?"
The man just glared at me.
I just laughed, because I finished the book just the other night, and I know for a fact that Harry never bit the head off the snake.
Hermione did.

Am I Emergent ? EuroTrash? A Relasped Blogger perhaps?

Scruffy goatee. Collar turned up. Funky glasses. Mall diva and the Rev. Mother dubbed me EuroTrash, while Ben calls it "Sophisticated French", which is an oxymoron. 
I could almost pass myself off as one of those hippy preachers, but my shirt wasn't made 100% natural fibers. Plus, the white t-shirt and suspenders probably disqualify me. And the shower. (rim shot).
I took some time off Saturday to go down to Keagan's and catch up with some friends. Unfortunately, I was stressing big time about other commitments, so I only stayed for about an hour and took off. Fortunately, I had a chance to catch up with not only to folks mentioned above, but King David and Mocha Mama, and I got to meet Gabrielle.
All wonderful people who I wish I had more time to get to know. Hopefully things will slow down for me soon, and I'll have a chance to catch up.

Heading to Keagan's?

Yes. Though I have hardly blogged of late, I am heading off to Keagan's for the annual MOB gathering. I may even ask the Reverend Mother to bless my motorcycle.

Movie Review: Ratatouille

Ratatouille Excellent movie. Even though I tend to think of the French and Rats on the same level, this movie redeems rats. From a culinary prospective, the kitchen scenes and food where realistic. Accept for the fact that they where prepared by a rat, of course.
It was fun, had a good plot, the characters had a little depth to them, and was one of the rare movies where the audience applauded at the end.
