I'm heading off to Lincoln, Nebraska this weekend to visit the in-laws this week end. Good thing I got some blood pressure medication, because hanging out with retired railroad union socialist and hardcore lefties gets me worked up. I need to swing by the DNC website to check out what kind of crap I'm going to have to listen to for the next few days. It kind of bums me out the way they have no independent thought! Kool Aid drinkers the lot.
But the good thing is the reason for going: My wife's grandmas. One turns 85, the other 90. One is a tough old bird who like margaritas and keeps a bottle of whiskey hidden in the broom closet, the other a Covenanter with deep roots in the church and pastors all through her family. I like them both.
While I'm gone, I'm going to rerun some of my better stuff from my old blog. It's a chance to move it on over here.
