Debunking Christianity Revisited
I wrote a post about the blog, "Debunking Christianity" the other day. After being challenged by the creator of the blog to read one of his post, I spent some time looking around.

One thing that shocked me was the comments section. People, claiming to be Christian, left some of the most childish, mean-spirited, hate-filled comments that I have ever read in a blog.

Nice job showing the love of Christ.

Boy, that sent them clamoring to return to the Church.

I was more put off by the comments of believers than by the comments made by those running the blog. All the commenters did was help them build their case of Christianity being a false religion.

When John wrote about his deconversion experience, he stated that one of his reasons for leaving the faith was: "...minus a sense of a loving, caring, Christian community". Well, these people are certainly enforcing the notion of a loving community, huh?

A loving and caring community is vital for the church and people of the church to flourish. There must be grace towards people's short comings, mercy towards their failings, encouragement to approach the future with holiness, a celebration of any and all forward motion people make in their lives, and support when there is struggle.

It's been said that the Christian army is the only army that shoots it's own wounded. I don't wonder why some people leave.

Even though you disagree with our conclusions at DC, I thank you for noticing what others don't seem to notice.

Saw a good bumper sticker that said "Lord, save me from some of your followers".

Although I am not a believer, I have no problems with those that are believers provided they don't force the beliefs on me thru the laws of the land.

I am a somewhat student of history and politics and have came to the conclusion that few religions are compatable with true freedom and liberty.

The people at "Debunking Christianity" are complete control freaks. There is no way to start a discussion on their site unless you are a De Bunker, meaning you are bunkered down, screaming at Jesus that life is "not fair". I tried to start a thread about the fact that even America is founded on faith. "We hold these truths to be self-evident. That all men are created equal". That is a statement of FAITH. There is no basis for the statement that is not faith based. Are all mammals created equal? Nope. Are all genders created equal? Maybe. Are all people created equally? Depends on who you ask.

The little tin pot called "Debunking Christianity" is a minor and silly blog created by control freaks who don't want to listen to any rant but their own. End their links, they are a waste of time and breath and bandwidth.

Maybe they will respond to this thread. Too bad they have no forum for doing so on their own web site. They are self absorbed polywogs in a tiny pond that they are afraid to share with the world at large. Give them no more credit than they give anyone else.

Just me.
